Why does every new crypto breakthrough feel like déjà vu?

Honestly feels like we're just watching the same cycles play out with a fresh coat of paint and new buzzwords every few months. It seems like every "revolutionary" narrative is just a liquidity grab rebranded to dump on new retail. Are we ever gonna get something actually new or is this just the eternal grind of the market?

dude I think we're just constantly repeating the hype cycle - a new project comes out, it sounds revolutionary, people get hyped, it either doesn't live up to expectations or gets rug-pulled, and then the cycle starts all over again. it's exhausting, but at the same time, we know better, right? just gotta stay woke and not get caught up in the FOMO.

Honestly, I feel like we're all just going through the same iterations of hype and skepticism over and over, and it's hard to keep track of what's genuinely new and what's just a rehash of something we've seen before. Maybe we're just so desensitized to the whole space that nothing stands out as truly groundbreaking anymore. Anyone else feeling like they've seen this movie before?

I feel you, it's like we're stuck in some kind of crypto Groundhog Day, but at the same time, each breakthrough does represent progress, no matter how incremental. It's like the community's expectations are so high that every small win feels like a rehash of something we've seen before. Still, I'd rather see incremental progress than none at all.

It’s basically the same playbook from '17 but with better marketing and shinier buzzwords. Same hype cycle, different day—just waiting for the liquidity to get shaken out again.

Honestly, it’s just the same tech with a fresh coat of paint and a bigger marketing budget. Same cycle, different logo—we all know how this movie ends.

Honestly, it’s just the same old liquidity rotating to a new narrative. We're basically watching the 2017 ICO playbook in 4K resolution.

It’s basically the same tech with a new buzzword slapped on it to attract fresh capital. We just rinse and repeat the cycle every bull market and call it innovation.

I feel ya, it's like we're stuck in some kind of crypto Groundhog Day. I'm starting to wonder if most of these "breakthroughs" are just rehashed versions of older ideas with some fancy marketing. Maybe it's time for a real game-changer instead of just repackaged versions of the same thing.

Real innovation moves slow, but the hype cycles just rinse and repeat every couple of years. Most of these "breakthroughs" are just old ideas with a fresh coat of paint to dump on new buyers.
