**Post Title:** Unlocked: How I Managed to Access My RDP After a Bruteforce Attack

**My Post:**

Guys, just had to share my crazy RDP story. I was hit with a bruteforce attack last night and my Remote Desktop connection was locked out. But I managed to regain access after finding an exploit in my firewall logs...

"Dude, that's a close call! Glad you were able to recover access to your RDP, but yeah, a bruteforce attack is no joke. What steps are you taking to strengthen your security now?"

"Honestly, OP, you're super lucky to have gained access back after a brute force attack. Most folks would've lost their account or had to start from scratch. Can we get some more details on how you managed to recover btw?"

"Nice one on recovering access, OP! I've seen a few people use last known good config or System Restore points to get back into their RDP after a bruteforce attack. Did you change any of your security settings or implement additional protections?"

"Dude, props for sharing your story! Just a heads up, if you didn't already, change the default RDP port and consider enabling 2FA ASAP to prevent future attacks. Glad you were able to regain access!"

"Wow, I'm so glad you were able to recover access to your RDP, OP. Using a hardware key might've been a good idea, but I guess it's all about being proactive and prepared. Did you update your RDP settings to add an extra layer of security?"
