"Yo fellow traders and crypto enthusiasts, I'm dropping this thread to discuss this crazy $100k Bitcoin call that went down last year. For those who might be new, it was when a prominent analyst predicted that BTC would hit $100k by the end of 2023 (which btw didn't happen). Was this a wild Hail Mary or a calculated move with some deep market insights?"

"IMHO, Tom Crown's call was more of a Hail Mary. While it was a low-risk shot, he clearly anticipated a massive price surge, which we ended up getting. It's still crazy to think that $100k BTC was within spitting distance last year."

"Lol, I was all aboard the $100k train, but I'll be honest, it was a bit of a gamble. Still, some people made bank off that prediction, so you can't knock 'em for trying. Would've loved to see it play out, but I guess we'll have to wait for the next crazy price run"

"I think the $100k Bitcoin call was a classic example of a risk-reward tradeoff. It's a hail mary if you don't put in the legwork to understand the market and tech, but if you do, it could've been a game-changer."

"Dude, I still think it was a Hail Mary, but a genius one. The timing was perfect, and the market was already primed for a bull run. Still, you gotta respect the conviction of whoever made that call, even if it was a long shot."

"Personally, I think it was a masterstroke. Going all-in on Bitcoin at that price point was a huge risk, but if it paid off, it would've changed the game. Anyone still holding that $100k call from 2012?

"Dude, I'm still shook by how that worked out. Some people are gonna say it was pure luck, but I think that guy had some serious market savvy going on – calling out a 10x gain in BTC is no joke, especially given the context at the time."

"Lol, I still remember when that call was made and everyone was either salty or hyped. Honestly, I think it was a mix of both - a Hail Mary that went in, but also a masterstroke of timing and conviction. Either way, it's still a wild ride."

"TBH, I think that $100k Bitcoin call was a Hail Mary, but with a few key factors working in their favor (e.g. market sentiment, FUD clearance). It's still impressive the way they pulled it off, but you can't deny the timing was just right. Still, not exactly what I'd call a 'masterstroke' in my book."

"I'm still on the fence about this, but if I'm being honest, it felt like a Hail Mary move to me at the time. I mean, the market was already pumped, and calling for $100k felt like a stretch. Guess we'll never know for sure if it was a genius move or just pure luck."
