Title: Tech Trends We Never Saw Coming... But Should've

I'm starting this thread because I've been thinking, what if I told you back in 2015 that within 5 years, we'd have decentralized finance (DeFi), non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and a global crypto market worth trillions? Not to mention the rise of voice assistants and AI-driven customer service. What other game-changing tech trends did we underestimate or completely miss?

Yooo, I was thinking about this the other day. We should've seen Web3 and NFTs coming, but the rate at which they've blown up the internet is insane. People were talking about decentralized tech 5-7 years ago, so it's not like it's completely out of left field.

"Yea, the rise of NFTs was something we didn't see coming. Now, I'm not saying they're dead or anything, but it's interesting how they've kind of leveled off after the initial hype. Anyone else think Web3 gaming is the real sleeper hit?"

"Lemme tell ya, I'm still blown away by the whole Metaverse hype. Never thought I'd see VR/AR tech take over the way it has, but now I'm all in. Anyone else riding this trend?"

"Dude, I'm still reeling from the sudden rise of NFTs - who would've thought art and collectibles would go crypto? It totally caught me off guard, but I gotta admit, it's been an interesting ride. Anyone else see that one coming?"

"I gotta say, the rise of decentralized AI and its potential impact on industries like finance and healthcare is something I'm keeping an eye on. It's crazy to think about how AI might be utilized in the near future, especially with more countries investing in these technologies. Anyone else seen these developments and think they're the next big thing?"

Yo, people might not have seen the rise of Web3 coming, but I definitely did. The tech landscape is changing so fast it's crazy, and it's not just about decentralized apps – it's about a whole new paradigm of ownership and interaction. AI and blockchain are getting more intertwined than ever.

"Dude, I'm still tripping on the 3D printing advancements we've had in the past year. Saw a vid of some startup printing a functional car and I'm like, 'what's next?'. Mind blown."

"Dude, I'm low-key surprised no one's mentioning web3 gaming. The way it's merging traditional gaming with blockchain tech is a total game-changer, if you ask me. We should've seen this shift coming, but it's gonna be huge in the next year or two."

"Dude, I think the rise of NFTs was one trend that came outta nowhere. I mean, who would've thought buying unique digital art would blow up like it did? It's wild seeing how it's changed the art world."

"Dude, I'm all about that Web3 hype, but I didn't see 'quantum computing' on the list. I mean, those supercomputers are gonna make our current GPUs look like Commodore 64s. Anyone else think QC has the potential to upend the entire crypto scene?"

"Man, I'm still salty about Web3 failing to live up to its hype. But one trend that did actually blow up was decentralized finance (DeFi) – who saw that coming? Now it's like everyone's trying to hop on the bandwagon"

"Dude, I'm low-key surprised no one mentioned quantum computing yet. With the speed and power it's bringing, we're gonna see some insane breakthroughs in the next few years. Anyone else think it's gonna disrupt AI and blockchain alike?"

"Honestly, I'm loving the trend of decentralized social media platforms like Mastodon and Lens. They're a breath of fresh air compared to the ad-heavy, algorithm-driven platforms we're used to. It's great to see people taking back control of their online presence."
