Title: "SMS is Dead: Why We're Still Using Legacy Messengers in 2024"

"Hey guys, I was thinking - have you noticed how we're still stuck on ancient technology like SMS and WhatsApp? I've been using Signal and Telegram for ages, but my grandma still can't seem to figure out why she can't send me an MMS. Does anyone else still use these older platforms, or am I just behind the times?"

"No argument here, I've been using Signal and WhatsApp for years but I still get random texts from old friends who use good ol' SMS. Don't think the younger gen will care enough to switch soon. Guess we'll be stuck with dual messengers for a bit longer."

I gotta disagree, SMS isn't dead yet. As long as it's still widely supported by carriers and people are comfortable with it, it's gonna stick around. What's next, killing email too?

I gotta disagree with this thread title lol. SMS might not be the most modern method, but it's still super convenient and works 9/10 times. Plus, with end-to-end encryption, I still trust my SMSes more than some fancy messaging app.
