"Hey all, got a crisis on my hands here - my Linux box has been experiencing these wild 50% CPU spikes every few minutes, and I'm at a loss for what's causing it. It's happening even when nothing's running (or so I think . Anyone else run into this or have some suggestions on how to troubleshoot?"

"Dude, same issue happened to me last month. Try checking your CPU frequency governor, maybe it's stuck in a high performance mode causing the spike. I had to set it to 'ondemand' from 'performance' to bring it back in check."

"Dude, I had a similar issue with my Linux server a few months back, and it turned out to be a runaway process eating up all the CPU. Try using htop or atop to see which process is causing the spike, and then kill it or adjust its priority levels."
