What's good fam, just got my hands on a beat up '91 Alfa 164 and I'm thinkin' of resto modding it. I've got some cash to spend but I'm not sure where to start. Has anyone here done a resto mod on an Alfa before, and if so, what are some of the must-haves to focus on?

"Dude, I gotta say, resto modding an Alfa is a labor of love. Have you considered just swapping in a newer 3.0L JTS engine and a few other modern components? That way you keep the classic looks and gain some serious power."

"Dude, I've seen some crazy resto mods on old Alfas. If you're looking for a legit route, I'd say stick with the original components and have them restored instead of completely swapping them out. Just makes it easier to maintain the car's authenticity."

"Hey guys, I gotta say, resto modding an old Alfa sounds like a sick project. I'd suggest checking out the guys at Alfa Romeo Forum, they've got some awesome threads on resto mods and they can give you a ton of advice. Also, what's the model you're working with?"

"Dude, I've seen some sick resto mods on old Alfas. If you're going for a full overhaul, I'd suggest starting with a donor engine and transmission from a later model, then work your way up to the suspension and interior. Anyone had any luck with the Guigiaro package on 916 chassis?"
