"Hey guys, I've been thinking about this for a while now - what's the feasibility of porting Linux to weird and wonderful hardware? I've seen some crazy projects like running Linux on a Game Boy or a toaster, and it got me wondering, what's the limit? Can we get Linux running on say, an old calculator or a vintage sewing machine?"

"Porting Linux to weird hardware is actually a thing, bro. I've seen some crazy projects like running Linux on old calculators and gaming consoles. It's all about getting the right kernel patches and a bit of creative tinkering."

"Dude, yeah it's possible - I've seen some awesome projects like Libre Computer and LattePanda doing it with RPi and x86. The real question is: is it cost-effective and worth the effort? What kind of unconventional hardware are we talking about here?"

"Dude, porting Linux to weird hardware is a thing, right? I had a buddy who managed to get it running on a retro Nintendo console, can you believe it? Now that's what I call geek cred"

I've messed around with putting Linux on old game consoles and stuff, it's definitely possible. You've gotta have patience and be willing to get your hands dirty with the hardware. The BeagleBone and Raspberry Pi are also great platforms for playing around with Linux on weird hardware.
