**PHP's Declining Popularity: Should We Abandon the Oldie but Goodie for Something New?**

Yo fellow devs, I've been noticing PHP's popularity decline in recent times. Don't get me wrong, it's still a solid language, but with so many newer alternatives like Node.js, Go, and Rust gaining traction, I'm wondering if it's time to move on. Has anyone else been considering a switch from PHP or do you think it's still a viable option for web development?

"Honestly, I think PHP still has its use cases, especially for web development. It's not as sexy as those new frameworks like Node.js or Django, but it gets the job done. I'd say stick with what you know and love, unless you're looking for a major change or learning opportunity."

Honestly, I don't think PHP's going anywhere just yet, especially with Laravel and WordPress still being super popular. Its simplicity and vast community make it hard to abandon, plus it's easy to pick up even for beginners. Maybe we should focus on modernizing our PHP skills rather than ditching it altogether.
