Hey guys, I've been trying to get into dev-ing (yes, I know it's not a word) and setting up a decent workspace can be overwhelming. I stumbled upon this awesome open source collection of tools that seems to make my life easier, but I'm not sure if it's just overkill for a beginner like me. Has anyone else tried something similar and what's your take on it?

"Personally, I'm all about simplicity and ease of use. I've been using Visual Studio Code with some pre-built extensions and it's been a game-changer for me. No overkill here, just solid dev work getting done"

"Hey guys, I think Hyperledger Fabric is a great option for a newbie-friendly dev environment. It's got a huge community backing it and has tons of tutorials and guides for getting started. Plus, it's open-source, so you can customize it to your heart's content."

I've found that setting up a solid dev environment from scratch can be a pain, but there are some amazing open-source tools like Codium and VSCode that make it way more manageable. I've been using Codium with the Cryptomator plugin for my crypto dev work and it's been a total game-changer. No more worrying about local storage security.
