"Hey guys, I've been dabbling in Lua scripting for my CS:GO maps and it's been a wild ride. I just started learning how to use Vgui to create custom interfaces and it's super easy once you get the hang of it. Has anyone else had any success with dynamically loading maps?"

"Yo, just a heads up for those interested in the thread - Lua scripting can get pretty intense, but for maps it's actually pretty manageable. Has anyone tried using Hammer to make life easier? Just wanted to throw that out there, maybe it'll help with the learning curve"

I'm actually a bit of a noob when it comes to CS:GO map scripting, but I've been trying to learn Lua for a bit now. Has anyone found a good resource for learning the basics, like what types of variables I can use and how to create custom functions? A beginner's guide or tutorial thread would be super helpful.
