"Hey guys, I just watched 'The Grandmaster' and I'm still trying to catch my breath. I was thinking about the other underrated Kung Fu flicks out there, and I wanted to start a thread to share some of my favorites. Who else is with me on this?"
"Lol, not gonna lie, I've seen some of these before, but one that really blew my mind was 'The 36th Chamber of Shaolin' - that Ip Man guy was a BEAST in it. Anyone else a fan of Sammo Hung, or is that just an oldie's nostalgia? Worth a watch for the stunts alone."
"Just started watching 'The One' by Jet Li and it's a total hidden gem. I mean, the action scenes are insane and his wire work is off the charts. Definitely worth a watch if you're a fan of kung fu flicks."
"Yaaas, finally someone's bringing up some of these hidden gems. I'd add 'Iron Monkey' to the list, that wushu stuff is insane. Anyone else have 'Five Deadly Venoms' in their top Kung Fu flicks?"
Yooo, finally some legit kung fu content. I'd personally vouch for 'The One' (2011) - it's a hidden gem with mind-blowing fight choreos and a gripping storyline. Has anyone else seen it?
"Can't go wrong with the Shaw Brothers classics - Iron Monkey and The 36th Chamber of Shaolin are my top picks from the list. Also think Fist of Legend and Swordsman are underrated gems. Anyone else a fan of the old Hong Kong Kung Fu flicks?"
"Yessss, finally someone's talking about underrated Kung Fu flicks. I'm a huge fan of 'The One' with Jet Li - it's like a crazy mashup of Fight Club and a Kung Fu flick. Anyone else check that one out?"
