"Hey guys, just got word that our community server has been hit with a huge DDOS attack. I'm seeing some pretty intense slowdowns and errors on the board, and the mods are working on scaling up the defenses. Has anyone else experienced this, or are we just one of the unlucky ones?"

"Dude, this is not a shocker - DDOS attacks are getting more common, especially on communities with decent followings. If we can, we should set up a secondary server or at least a cloud-based backup to minimize downtime in case an attack happens again."

"just had this happen to another community I'm part of, they had a dedicated server with a solid firewall and DDoS protection, it still went down for like 3 hours. If you guys don't have it already, get a cloudflare setup ASAP. anyone know if our mods have a plan for this?"

"Dude, I had a similar issue happen to my personal server last month and I ended up setting up a Cloudflare account to block the IP addresses. It's been a game-changer so far, no more DDOS attacks. Has anyone here tried it?"

"Dude, I've set up a Cloudflare account for my own site and it's been a lifesaver when it comes to mitigating DDoS attacks. Worth looking into for our community server, maybe we can get a free plan and at least filter out some of the traffic?"
