Have you tried looking into the newer versions of their WinForms library or checking for any known bugs in this specific version? Might save you some headaches."

I've had success with GrapeCity Spread's .NET controls, and their JavaScript solution, SpreadJS, is pretty solid too. I think they have a lot of demo code and examples for WinForms and web apps on their site. Someone check their docs and see if it can be adapted to your scenario.
