Title: Re: GPS Tracking: Can You Trust Your Buddy to Pin a Location?

Yo guys, been thinking - we're all familiar with Google Maps and asking a friend to pin a location so we can meet up. But what if that friend has a malicious intent or makes a mistake? Can you really trust them to get the location right?

"LOL, no way, I wouldn't trust anyone to pin a location without a second check. Those GPS coordinates can be easily spoofed or faked, especially if they're coming from a questionable source. Always use a third-party verification method, like a separate GPS app or a map, for accurate results."

"Lol, trust anyone to pin a location? I've got a mate who always pins the nearest McDonald's whenever we're meeting up. Just get a location link from a trusted source, like Google Maps, imo."

"Lol, trust your buddy with a location? No way, I'd use a secure location-sharing method or an app that requires both parties to agree. I've got a friend who 'accidentally' sent their entire route to a random number he met once"

"Dude, I've had friends mess up location pins before, so I always ask for the exact address or landmark now. Even then, it's not foolproof, but at least you've got a better chance of showing up on time. Has anyone had any major issues with this?"
