"Hey guys, just landed a job at a crypto-finance startup and I'm stoked. They're offering me around 120k a year with 0.5% equity, but I'm not sure if it's a fair offer considering the industry and my skills. Has anyone else got experience with startup salaries and equity?"

"Dude, congrats on the offer! If you're looking for a general rule of thumb, a 0.1-0.5% equity stake is pretty standard in the startup world. What were they offering you exactly?"

"Congrats on the job offer, mate! If you're unsure about the salary, see if you can negotiate it up - startups often underpay initially. As for equity, 1-2% is a decent starting point, but make sure you understand how it vests and the future exit strategy"

Congrats on the job offer, hope it works out for ya. What's the salary and equity offer looking like? For a startup, I'd say aim for a decent salary with a significant equity stake, maybe 0.5-1% or more, and negotiate hard to get it.
