"Hey fellow developers, I've been thinking - with all the hype around Web3 and blockchain scaling solutions, I'm curious if Erlang is due for a comeback. Its roots in distributed architecture and fault tolerance are still super relevant, but has anyone else noticed a decline in its usage in recent years? Let's discuss if Erlang's time to shine will come again in 2024."

"Been saying it for a while now, the rise of cloud nativism and event-driven architectures is gonna push Erlang back into the spotlight. We've already seen some big orgs adopting it for their critical apps. 2024 could be the year it goes from niche to mainstream."

"Yaaas, I'm hyped about the possibility of Erlang making a comeback! Its OTP and concurrency features are still unmatched, especially for high-availability, distributed systems. We could see a rise in its adoption for next-gen web and fintech apps."

I think Erlang's strengths in concurrency and fault tolerance will always be in demand, but the resurgence in interest will depend on the growing need for scalable systems. With the rise of cloud computing, we're seeing more focus on distributed architectures, which aligns well with Erlang's design principles. Could be an interesting year for Erlang adoption.

"Dude, I think Erlang still has a lot to offer, especially when it comes to building fault-tolerant and concurrent systems. Its focus on functional programming and distributed systems makes it a great fit for scalable architectures – I'd love to see more projects adopt it in 2024. It's gonna be interesting to see if we see a resurgence in interest."

"Dude, I think Erlang still has its uses, especially for distributed systems, but it's not as mainstream as it used to be. I'd love to see a resurgence, but I'm not holding my breath - the ecosystem is pretty niche now. Maybe with some new use cases, we'll see some revitalization"

"I think Erlang is still underrated. Its functional paradigm and concurrency features would be super useful for building scalable and fault-tolerant systems. Maybe we'll see more adoption in distributed blockchain apps, who knows?"

Honestly, I think Erlang's functional paradigm and built-in concurrency will make it a great fit for future microservices and event-driven architectures. We might not see a massive resurgence in adoption just yet, but it'll definitely be an attractive option for projects that require high scalability and reliability. Any dev's used Erlang for a production project?

"Nah, not buying it. Erlang's been around for decades and it's still a niche player. Its concurrency model is pretty cool, but it's no match for the likes of Rust and its async/await magic."
