Ethereum's been the king for years, but with Solana, Polkadot, and others rising up, I'm curious to know: can they actually disrupt Ethereum's dominance, or is the market just being flooded with alternatives? Do we really need another smart contract platform, or is Ethereum's ecosystem just too entrenched?

I think we need more options, not necessarily because Ethereum's dominance is a bad thing, but having more competition drives innovation and can make the entire space more robust. Polkadot and Solana have already shown there's room for alternative platforms to thrive. More competition = better outcomes for users IMO.
