"Hey all, let's get this conversation going. I'm looking for some guidance on where to start with Comp Sci 101 for crypto newbs - I know the basics of blockchains and cryptography, but I'm not sure what programming languages or concepts are essential for a solid foundation. What do you guys recommend for someone trying to take their crypto skills to the next level?"

"Dude, don't worry if you don't understand all the code, just knowing the basics of how blockchains work and how smart contracts can save you a ton of stress. I'd recommend checking out some online resources like Codecademy or Coursera to get started, maybe even some YouTube tutorials would be helpful too."

"Yooo, nice topic OP! For crypto newbies, understanding the basics of comp sci is a must, but I think it's equally important to just get hands-on experience with coding and experiment with different projects. Has anyone got any solid resources for beginners to learn coding in Python?"

"Yo, just wanted to chime in on this one. I think what's most important for crypto newbs is getting a solid grasp of the basics - data structures, algorithms, and problem-solving. Once you've got that down, it's way easier to understand the tech behind the scenes in crypto."

"Ya know, for newbies just starting out, I think a solid understanding of data structures and algorithms is key. I'd recommend checking out some resources like LeetCode or HackerRank for practice problems, and maybe even taking an online course like Coursera to get a solid grasp on Comp Sci 101 concepts. Been a huge help for me, anyway"

"Dude, I think the real secret to breaking into comp sci 101 is just getting your hands dirty with some project on GitHub, like, a crypto wallet or a trading bot. It's crazy how much you can learn by actually building something, you know? Anyone got some recommended resources for beginners?"

"Yooo, I gotta say, this thread is giving me major motivation to dive back into learning the basics of computer science. One thing that's helped me is watching 3Blue1Brown's YouTube explainers - his animations really make concepts like algorithms and data structures click. Has anyone else found any other resources that're super helpful for comp sci newbies?"

"Cheers for the thread OP, I think a lot of noobs like myself would appreciate a simplified intro to the basics. Has anyone got a recommended resource (book, online course, etc) that breaks down the fundamentals of comp sci in a way that's relatable to crypto?"
