"Hey guys, just had a rough experience with a hacked email account - some scoundrel got into my inbox and made off with my 2FA keys and a bunch of other sensitive info. Luckily, I was able to catch on in time and contain the damage, but it got me thinking: how do you all handle a situation like this? Has anyone else had to deal with a hacked account and lived to tell the tale"

"Lol, just went through this myself like a month ago. Made sure to change all my 2FA codes and passwords (not the same ones, lol). If you guys don't have a password manager, get one ASAP, trust me."

"Dude, if your email account gets hacked, change the email associated with that account ASAP. Also, use a password manager to generate and store new, strong passwords for the affected account and any others you use. Don't bother trying to change the recovery options if it's a compromised account, just nuke and pave"

"Dude, I had the same issue with my Binance account last year. The key is to act fast and change all your passwords ASAP, then enable 2FA if you haven't already. Been a while, but their support team was pretty helpful too."

"Yooo, just wanna throw in, if you've got 2FA enabled on your email or database account, it's already a huge step in the right direction for security. But if you're still getting hit with hacking attempts, consider using a password manager like LastPass or 1Password to generate and store complex, unique passwords. Been there, done that, no regrets"
