"Title says it all, folks. I've got a friend who's been 'invited' to an 'exclusive' crypto meet-up in Ibiza, 'guaranteed' to make him a profit of 1000x. He sent me a screenshot of the ' organizer's' 'verified' Telegram profile, and I'm like, dude, you're 100%.

Has anyone else fallen victim to the " Crypto influencer meets Fantasy novel characters" vibe, or am I just jaded?"

"Dude, I got one - my cousin fell for a 'guaranteed 10x' altcoin pump that promised a moon landing-level ROI in a week. Turns out it was just a token created by a shady dev who cashed out after a week, leaving all the noob investors holding the bag. My cousin still owes me 2 ETH"

Oh man, I've got one - back in 2017, my buddy's "uncle" convinced him to invest in a 'pre-launch' ICO for a "blockchain-based" timeshare app. My buddy ended up shelling out 10K for a bunch of vaporware, and to this day, he's still getting pitches from the 'uncle' asking for more cash to "cover operational costs".
