"What's up fellow crypto enthusiasts? I'm diving into this topic because I genuinely believe Web3 has the potential to disrupt traditional systems and create a more equitable society, but at the same time, I've seen some pretty centralized players dominating the space. Is crypto truly going to deliver on its social promise, or will we just end up with another layer of control on top of the existing power structures?"

I'm still holding out hope for Web3 to bring about some real change. As long as people are willing to take the leap and actually use the decentralized tools that are being developed, I think we can see some real progress. But till then, it's just another pipe dream for me.

"Lowkey think the social promise of crypto is getting hyped too much, but I do see potential in decentralized platforms for marginalized communities. Places like LBRY and BitChute are doing cool stuff, even if it's not mainstream yet. We gotta see more real-world use cases for Web3 to justify all the hype."

I think we're getting caught up in the hype and forgetting that crypto's social promise is still largely untested. Most web3 projects right now are just rebranded DeFi protocols with fancy governance tokens. Until we see real decentralized governance in action, the utopia dream remains just that - a dream.
