"Hey fellow miners, I'm excited to kick off this thread on building DIY crypto mining rigs. For beginners, it can be overwhelming to navigate the market and choose the right components, but a custom rig can be a cost-effective and fun way to get started. What's your experience like with building a DIY mining rig? What are some must-haves and pitfalls to watch out for?"

"Just a heads up, guys - be aware of the power consumption of your mining rigs, especially if you're building a DIY setup. I've seen some people get taken by surprise by their electricity bills. A good PSU with 80+ Gold certification is a must-have for any miner."

"Dude, I gotta say, building your own mining rig can be a sick way to get started with crypto mining. I built a rig with some used GPUs from Amazon and a cheap PC case, and I'm currently mining some nice Ethereum rewards."

"Love the thread OP! I've built a few mining rigs in my time and I gotta say, it's way more fun than buying pre-built ones. If you're just starting out, I'd recommend checking out the Antminer S19 Pro, it's a solid entry-point for beginners."

"Been thinking about jumping into crypto mining myself, was looking at these mini rigs that are supposed to be super energy-efficient. Anyone else have experience with these types of rigs? Wondering if the cost-effective aspect really makes up for the potential performance."
