"Hey fellow sys admins, I'm seeing a spike in DDoS attacks on my servers lately and I'm looking for some advice on how to mitigate them. We're running a small crypto mining operation and these attacks are crippling our operations. Has anyone else out there experienced this and got some effective anti-DDoS strategies to share?"

"Been there, done that. Implementing a cloud-based WAF (Web Application Firewall) has helped me counter some big DDoS attacks on our crypto trading platform. Also, make sure to keep your OS and other software up to date, it's the simplest way to avoid getting exploited"

"Yikes, that's a concerning trend. For our crypto operations, we use Cloudflare's built-in DDoS protection, which has been a game-changer so far. Anyone else using a similar service or got any DIY solutions to share?"

"Y'all know how I feel about cloudflare - been using it for years and it's been a lifesaver. Also, I've been experimenting with fail2ban to block IP addresses that try to brute force my MySQL server. Anyone else have any other anti-DDoS tricks up their sleeve?"
