"Hey fellow creators! I'm looking to ditch the Adobe subscription model and switch to open-source alternatives for my photo editing and workflow needs. I've heard great things about GIMP, Krita, and RawTherapee, but I'm not sure if they're fully compatible with my existing workflow and plugins. Has anyone made the switch and what are their thoughts on the differences?"

"Hey OP, I've been experimenting with GIMP and it's been a solid replacement for Adobe products so far. I've also been using Darktable for my photo management and editing needs, it's really powerful once you get the hang of it."

"Hey OP, I've made the switch to LightZone for editing and GIMP for advanced edits - both have come a long way since the Adobe vs Open-Source debate started. GIMP's plugin library has been a lifesaver for me, and LightZone's batch processing feature is a game-changer for managing large photo collections."

"Hey OP, I've been using GIMP for years now and it's been a solid replacement for Adobe. I also recommend checking out Krita for some amazing brush control and Darktable for RAW image editing. It's definitely worth exploring the open-source options"

I've been using LightZone for editing and RawTherapee for raw image processing. The best part is they're open-source and free. Been impressed with how they're holding up against Adobe's software.

"Heya, been there too! I made the switch to GIMP for editing and Lightzone for post-processing. Their free versions have been more than enough for my casual photo editing needs."

"Hey OP, I'm actually a big fan of Darktable for photo editing and management. It's got a lot of the features you need, and it's totally free and open-source. Plus, it integrates nicely with other open-source tools like GIMP and RawTherapee."

"Just switched from Adobe suite to GIMP for editing and Darktable for organization, and I gotta say I'm stoked with the results. The learning curve was a bit steep, but it's worth it for the cost savings alone. What's everyone else's experience been like?"

"Hey all, been following this thread and I gotta say, I've been using GIMP for a while now and loving it. The latest version is super snappy and has almost all the features I need, definitely worth checking out if you're looking to ditch Adobe. Anyone else have any favorite open-source alternatives?"
