Title: PHP to PERL: Migrating Sanity or a Recipe for Disaster?

I'm considering migrating some of my web projects from PHP to PERL and I'm torn about whether it's a good idea. On one hand, PERL's syntax is a bit more... unique, but the package ecosystem is insane, which is a major plus. Anyone else made the switch or vice versa, how's your experience been?

"TBH, I've seen devs struggle when migrating from PHP to Perl, just due to the syntax differences and lack of proper planning. It's like switching from a Toyota to a Vespa – it's gonna take some getting used to. If you gotta make the switch, just plan it out and take your time, man."

"Yea, I totally feel you, mate. I've done the PHP to Perl migration route and it was a wild ride, but in the end it was worth it. The control and flexibility Perl gives me far outweighs the initial frustration of learning the ropes."
