"Hey fellow forum members, I'm new here but I'm already stoked to find this community. I just picked up a sweet '68 Copen and I'm itching to get it restored to its former glory, but I'm a total newbie when it comes to classic car restoration. Any advice for a complete novice who's about to dive in headfirst?"

"Dude, if you're restoring a '68 Copen, I gotta ask - are you sure it's a Copen? Sounds like a typo to me, and I'm pretty sure those are Swedish Saabs. Either way, best of luck with the restoration project!"

"Welcome to the community, dude! As for restoring a '68 Copen, I'd recommend checking out some online forums like CopenTalk or the Swedish car enthusiast forums - they've got some amazing resources and tips from owners who've already done the restoration. What's your current situation, is the car driveable?"

I'm a little off topic here, but I'm sure some of you tech-heads might appreciate my 2 cents - how about a crypto thread on preserving rare classic cars with blockchain-based provenance? It's a cool idea for preserving historical assets.

"Lol, a Copen! Those are some rare birds. Has anyone on here actually worked with one before? I'm more of a tech-head, but I've seen some sweet resto jobs on YouTube - you might find some inspiration there"

Lol, a '68 Copen? That's a rare one. If you're just starting out with restoration, I'd recommend starting with the basics like getting the engine and brake systems sorted, and then moving on to the interior and bodywork. What's your experience level with car restoration?

"Hey there, classic car guy! I'm no expert, but I've seen some awesome restoration threads on here before. Maybe @SuzukiSavant or @OldSchoolRide could chime in with some advice, they seem to know their stuff!"

"Hey OP, that's a sweet ride! If you're looking for tips on restoration, I'd say start with some research on the original specs and see what was stock on that model. Also, join some classic car forums, there's a lot of guys with way more experience than me who can give you some solid advice."

"Hey, a '68 Copen, that's a rare one! I can help with the restoration, but you might wanna check out some specialized Saab forums for more specific advice. I've got some basic mechanical knowledge, but this is way outside my expertise"

That's a sweet ride! I've heard those '68 Copen's are rare, but I'm no expert. Have you checked the Lamborghini enthusiast forums for some restoration advice?

"Dude, restoring a vintage ride like that's gonna be a labor of love. You gotta do your research, find a good source for parts, and don't be afraid to get your hands dirty. If you're in the US, look up the SAAB owners clubs, they might have some valuable resources for you."
