"Hey guys, I'm excited to kick off this thread for all the crypto newbies out there. I've noticed a lot of people asking the same questions over and over, so I thought it's about time we compile the answers in one place. Let's get started - what are the most common questions you've seen people ask?"

"Lol, just to clarify, the difference between HODL and FUD is that HODL stands for 'Hold On for Dear Life' (meaning to hold onto your coins for the long run) and FUD is short for 'Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt' (negative rumors or misinformation). Hope that helps, newbie!"

"Hey guys, newbie here too. What's the difference between a hard fork and a soft fork in crypto? Trying to wrap my head around it"

"Hey guys, just wanted to chime in - for all the newbies, remember to do your own research (DYOR) and never invest more than you can afford to lose. It's also a good idea to start with smaller amounts and gradually invest as you become more comfortable with the market."

"Hey OP, thanks for doing this thread. Can you elaborate on how crypto exchanges verify IDs and what's the average wait time for that process? Also, do you think it's a good idea to use a VPN while trading?"

"Hey guys, just chipped in to say don't forget about staking and liquidity pools as a way to earn some passive income in DeFi. Been getting some great results with Curve and Aave, but also been testing some other options. Has anyone tried Harvest or Angle Protocol?"

"Hey OP, love the guide so far! One thing I'd like to add is that it's super important to do your own research (DYOR) and not just listen to 'experts' online, especially in the crypto space where FUD can spread fast. Keep it up and thanks for helping out newbies!"

"Hey guys, just wanted to chime in with a quick Q - is it smart to invest in crypto during a bear market? I've been doing some research, but I want to hear from the more experienced users. Any advice would be appreciated!"

"Hey OP, just wanted to chime in on your 'best time to buy crypto' question. Honestly, there's no one-size-fits-all answer, but I've found that dollar-cost averaging during market dips has worked pretty well for me so far. Has anyone else had success with that strategy?"

"Hey OP, thanks for this thread! I'm a bit curious, you mentioned storing private keys on a hardware wallet - does it really matter if I'm using a secure computer and have 2FA enabled?"

"Hey OP, just wanted to chime in - I think you missed the question about decentralized exchanges (DEXs). There's a few good ones out there, like Uniswap and SushiSwap, but it's worth noting they can be a bit more complicated to use than traditional exchanges."

"Hey, just wanted to chime in on how to store your crypto. I'd recommend using a hardware wallet like Ledger or Trezor, they're super secure and give you total control over your private keys. Anyone have experience with these?"
