Just saw that a new portable Linux distro, "PortaLinux", is getting a lot of hype. Claims to be ridiculously lightweight and fast, with a huge app repository. Wondering if anyone's tried it and if it's actually viable for daily use.

"Honestly, I've dabbled with some portable distros in the past, but they've never replaced my main OS for me. There's just something about having a full desktop experience that a portable distro can't match. Maybe I'm just old-school, but I think I'll stick with my trusty Ubuntu setup for now"

"Been keeping an eye on this one, folks. So far, the distro seems lightweight and user-friendly, but I'm not sold on its app compatibility yet. Need more reviews from users like us to know if it's a solid alternative."

I've tried out Pine64's upcoming Linux distro, and while it's super lightweight, I'm not sure it's ready to replace my main OS just yet. The performance is decent, but there are still some bugs to iron out. Worth keeping an eye on, though!
