Let's get this thread started. As devs, we've all been there - watching our app's download size balloon out of control, only to have users complain about slow loading times and crashes. What are some strategies you guys use to keep your mobile app dev process lightweight and efficient?

"Lol, I'm so down for a bloat-free UX revolution. One thing I always do is lazy-load non-essential features and content, so users don't have to deal with a heavy app on load. Has anyone tried using WebP images for mobile dev, it seems to be a game-changer for compressing images?"

"Preach! I've been a fan of the 'less is more' approach for years. Using a minimalistic layout and deferring non-essential features to settings or a separate tab has made a huge difference in my own app's performance and adoption."

"Love this topic, fam. For me, it's all about prioritizing core features and keeping the UI minimalistic. Anyone else using a 'dead-weight removal' checklist to streamline their app code?"

"Totally agree on the no-frills approach. Been using Material You in my Android projects recently and it's done wonders for performance. Anyone have some input on balancing minimalism with accessibility features?"

"Lol, I'm with you on this one. I've worked on a few mobile dev projects and constantly battled devs who think more features = more engagement. Keep the UX simple, streamlined and users will appreciate it."
