"Just suffered a nasty DDoS attack on my cloud instance and had to act fast to mitigate the damage. Ended up losing a few hours of production data, but managed to contain the attack by implementing some basic rate limiting and IP blocking. Anyone else ever been hit like this? What's your go-to plan for dealing with DDoS?"

"Had a similar issue with one of our cloud servers last month, and we managed to mitigate it by setting up a WAF (Web Application Firewall) in front of the instance. It blocked the malicious traffic, and we were able to take the instance down for a quick reboot. Definitely a lesson learned on the importance of proper security protocols."

"Hey guys, just wanna share my 2 cents. We had a similar issue with our Ethereum node last year and it was a cloud provider's fault tbh, they took 3 days to resolve it. We just switched to a new provider in the end."

"Hey all, had a similar issue last month on a VPS hosted with Linode. I noticed a spike in traffic coming from a bunch of unknown IP addresses, and their support team helped me set up a rate limiting rule to block the offenders."

"Hey all, I've been there too, had a 24 hour DDoS attack on one of my EC2 instances last year. We managed to mitigate it by engaging our cloud provider's WAF and increasing the instance's security group rules to block malicious IPs. Anybody have any updates on AWS's new DDoS protections?"
