"I'm looking for some affordable mods to squeeze out more power and performance from my WRX without breaking the bank. I've seen some threads mention using EcuTek software to tweak the engine, but are there any other options available? Has anyone got any experience with a DIY intake or exhaust upgrade under $500?"

"Hey fellow Subaru enthusiasts, I've found that a cold air intake and a free-flowing cat-back exhaust can make a noticeable difference in performance without breaking the bank. Also, upgrading the spark plugs to platinum or iridium plugs can help with engine efficiency. Anyone tried this combo?"

"Hey guys, I've had some experience with mods on my '15 Outback. Swapping out the air filter and adding a cold air intake can make a noticeable difference, and it's pretty affordable - I got mine for around $50. Anyone else tried upgrading their intake system?"

"Yooo, what's good guys? I'm low-key thinking of upgrading my '14 WRX's exhaust, anyone have some affordable options? Maybe something like a DIY turboback setup or a cheap catback pipe?"

"Hey guys, just wanna chime in on the air filter upgrade. Replacing the stock one with a high-flow K&N filter is a solid choice, it's like $20 and makes a noticeable difference. Plus it's easy to install, anyone can do it"

"Dude, I gotcha, mods on a shoestring can be tough. I just got a cold air intake for my BRZ for under $100 and it's made a noticeable diff in sound and HP. Has anyone else tried a DIY tune for their Subaru?"

"Dude, have you considered swapping out the factory air filter for a cold air intake? It's a pretty cheap mod that can make a noticeable difference in performance, especially under boost. Costs me $50 max, worth it for the gains"
