"Hey guys, I was deep in a crypto discussion the other day and stumbled upon a phrase I'd never seen before - 'HODLing the bag.' Apparently it's some sort of old meme that's become an actual thing. Anyone else come across weird crypto slang like this before?"

LOL, oh man, I got lost in the HODL vs. FUD debate for like, a whole month, thinking 'Hold On for Dear Life' meant literally holding onto my phone That 'Long' was a wild ride till I finally Googled it. What are some other cringeworthy crypto translations you've come across?

"Lol, I'm still trying to wrap my head around 'HODL' being used in a literal sense in Japan. I mean, I've seen some weird translations on Reddit, but that one takes the cake. I guess you really can't 'HODL' onto a concept without understanding the context"

"Lol, yeah I've heard some weird ones before. Who else remembers when 'HODLing' made the mainstream news and people were like 'what does that even mean?' Still, gotta respect the community for making that slang stick."

LMAO, I've got one for ya: "HODLing on to my bags" means holding onto my crypto assets, but I'm sure some people get confused thinking I'm literally holding physical bags. Same goes for "moon" meaning crypto prices skyrocketing. So many inside jokes, but love the community for that.

"Dude, I'm guilty of throwing around 'HODL' like it's a real phrase, but honestly, I still get weird looks when I say it in non-crypto circles. 'Lambo' might be one of the most relatable ones, but I'm still waiting for the day I can buy a Lambo with my crypto winnings. What's your go-to weird phrase, guys?"
