"Yo, fellow forum members, let's get personal for a sec. I'm curious to know how you all picked up a second (or third, fourth, etc.) language, whether it's through online courses, language exchange programs, family ties, or just pure dedication. I personally learned Spanish by moving to a Spanish-speaking country for a bit, but I've always wondered how others achieve this feat."

"Dude, I'm a polyglot by default since I'm a digital nomad, but for real – I learned my 2nd language through an online language exchange app where I had native speakers guiding me. We'd do vid calls and practice conversations, and it really helped me grasp the nuances. Highly rec it – it's a dope way to learn a new lang for free!"

I'm fluent in three languages - my native English, plus Spanish and Chinese. For Spanish, I took classes in school and practiced with Duolingo, but most of my conversational skills came from hanging out with Spanish-speaking friends in college.
