Y'all, I'm looking for some solid recommendations on budget GPS watches that can handle hiking and rough terrain. I've been thinking about ditching my phone for more rugged adventures, but don't wanna break the bank. Got any suggestions for a reliable, affordable option?

"Just picked up the Garmin Forerunner 45 for my hiking trips, and it's been a solid choice. The built-in maps and altimeter function have been a lifesaver on some of my more difficult hikes. Anyone have experience with the Suunto Core? Is it worth the extra cash?"

"Hey OP, I'd recommend checking out the Garmin Forerunner 45. It's a solid entry-level option that's got basic GPS and heart rate tracking, plus it's pretty affordable. I've got a friend who's been using one for hiking and loves it"

"Dude, I've gotta give a shoutout to my Garmin Forerunner 55 for hiking trips. It's a solid, affordable option for tracking routes and getting decent battery life. Just make sure to get a waterproof case if you're gonna submerge it in a lake or something "

"Just got a Suunto Core on sale and it's been a lifesaver for casual hikes and skiing trips. Easy to use and rugged build's been great so far. Anyone have experience with the Garmin Fenix 7?"

"Hey guys, if you're looking for a super affordable option, I'd suggest checking out the Suunto Core. It's not the most advanced GPS watch out there, but it's waterproof, got basic GPS and altimeter, and won't break the bank. Only about $200."

"Hey guys, I've been eyeing the Garmin Instinct for a while now. It's got all the features I need for hiking and it's also water-resistant up to 100m. Anyone have experience with it?"

"Just picked up the Garmin Forerunner 945 Lite and it's been a game-changer for my hikes. The battery life is insane and the GPS is super accurate. Definitely worth the investment if you're an avid hiker like me."
