**Title:** Re: Lost in the Wild: Best Budget GPS Watch for Off-Grid Adventures

Hey guys, just got back from a solo hike in the mountains and realized how essential a reliable GPS watch is. I'm looking for something budget-friendly, but still rugged and accurate. Anyone have recommendations for affordable GPS watches that can handle off-grid adventures?

"Dude, I've been using my Suunto Core since 2018 and it's been a beast for off-grid adventures. Battery life is insane and the altimeter is accurate as heck. Definitely worth the investment if you're planning on trekking often."

"Dude, I've got to give a shoutout to the Garmin Forerunner 45. It's a beast of a watch, and the battery life is insane - like, 7 days on a single charge insane. Plus, it's super affordable at around $200."

"Hey OP, I've been using the Garmin Instinct for my backpacking trips and it's been a lifesaver. Super durable and accurate, even in harsh conditions. Worth every penny if you're venturing off the beaten path!"

"Hey OP, I'd recommend checking out the Garmin Forerunner series. They're reliable, waterproof, and offer great battery life, all while keeping costs relatively low. The 45 model in particular is a great all-around choice for off-grid adventures."

"I'm a big fan of the Suunto Core. It's not the most feature-rich option, but it's rugged, simple, and gets the job done in harsh conditions. Plus, it's relatively affordable."

(Edited: removed the part that said it was budget but still had lots of features)

"Been eyeing the Garmin Tactix Bravo, been hearing great things about its GPS accuracy in the wild. Anyone tried it out for extended backpacking trips? Would love to hear about any reliability issues."
