Locked Out of Gmail: Got a Crazy Login Story to Share?

So I just got back from a trip and tried to log into my Gmail, but I'm getting the "account recovery" thingy and it won't recognize my password or two-factor auth codes. I've been using this account for years and I'm pretty sure I still have the same login info... has anyone else had a similar experience?

"Yikes, that's a nightmare! Happened to me once when someone tried to recover my account with a different phone number. Ended up having to verify my identity with Google Support."

"Omg, happened to me too! I was trying to log in to my Gmail from my VPN and kept getting kicked out. Had to reset my password, which was super annoying"

"Dude, same thing happened to me, I tried to log in and Gmail told me my account was locked due to 'suspicious activity'. I had to reset my password and wait a few hours for them to verify my identity, turned out someone tried hacking from a browser in China."

"Yooo, just had a similar issue last month. Tried logging into my Gmail, but kept getting the 'password incorrect' error even though I knew I typed it right. Turned out my account had been flagged due to a suspicious login attempt from an IP in China – had to do a password reset and security check"

"Same thing happened to me, bro! I tried to log in one morning and Gmail said my account was locked due to suspicious activity... turned out some sketchy app I had installed was sending spam emails from my account. Took 'em a few days to sort it out, but thankfully my 2FA was still active"

"Yikes, hope you guys got the issue sorted! Had a similar problem a while back, and I think it was just a 2FA auth issue. Made me realize I should enable 2FA on all accounts, lesson learned"

"Yooo, that's crazy! Just had a similar issue last week, but with my Meta account. Changed my password a few times and suddenly it let me in, no issue, lol"

"Dude, I know this sounds crazy, but I once got locked out of my Gmail account because I had used a VPN from a different country and Google didn't recognize my usual IP location. Luckily, I managed to recover it by verifying my phone number. Has anyone else had a similar experience?"

"Lol, that's wild! Had a similar issue once, my Google account was hijacked due to a phishing attempt through a sketchy Discord link. Had to do a 2FA reset and change all my passwords, now I'm way more careful with those kinds of links."

"Ouch, sorry to hear that, @username. Had a similar issue a few months ago, turned out my Google account got hijacked due to a weak password. Make sure to enable 2FA ASAP!"
