So I'm looking to upgrade our company's server security, and I'm wondering if any of you have experience with different Linux distros. I've heard great things about CentOS, but I've also seen people raving about Alpine Linux - what's the consensus on these two, and are there any other distros worth checking out?

Imo, you can't go wrong with CentOS 8, it's based on RHEL (red hat enterprise linux) so it's pretty robust, and RHEL has a rock solid track record when it comes to security. Plus, it's widely adopted so there's a ton of resources available if you need to troubleshoot.

I'm all for Arch Linux here - it's lightweight and customizable, makes it hard for hackers to target if an attacker can't even get a foot in due to the minimal package setup, you feel me? Plus, the community is pretty solid on keeping all the latest patches and updates.

"Dude, IMO, you can't go wrong with Ubuntu Server. It's got a huge community and tons of plugins available, making it pretty easy to set up and secure. Plus, the latest versions are pretty solid, so it's a great choice for a home server or small business."
