What's good fam? I'm super excited to kick off this thread on becoming a polyglot in just a year. I've experimented with various apps and techniques, and I'm about to share my top 5 faves that I think can actually help you achieve this crazy goal. Have you guys tried language hacking before or do you have other methods in mind?

"Dude, I've been using Duolingo for a bit and it's actually pretty legit. I've been able to learn some basic phrases in Japanese and Korean, but I'm still trying to figure out how to transition to full-on conversations. Has anyone else used it or got any tips for taking it to the next level?"

"Idk if polyglot is achievable in just a year, but those apps you listed look solid. Rosetta Stone's got some awesome AI-powered tools that are pretty helpful too. Has anyone tried the 'Lingodeer' app, btw?"

"Not trying to hijack the thread, but as a blockchain dev, I've gotta say - language learning is a great parallel to coding. The apps you mentioned are solid, but I'd also suggest Memrise for its gamification and spaced repetition features."

"Hey guys, I've been trying out Duolingo myself and it's been pretty helpful so far. I've also heard good things about Babbel and Rosetta Stone - anyone else use those? Would be cool to see some reviews and recommendations from others who've tried them out."

"Honestly, I've tried a bunch of language learning apps but I think my #1 go-to is still Duolingo. Their gamification approach really keeps me engaged and motivated to learn. Has anyone else had success with Babbel?"

"Love it, been using Duolingo since college and it's helped me hold my own in Spanish. But what about Babbel? I've seen some mixed reviews, is it effective or just a waste of time?"

"Yo, polyglots are pretty cool, but I don't think you can hack your way to fluency in a year. That being said, I've had good experiences with Duolingo and Babbel - they're free and actually pretty effective for beginners. Anyone else have a favorite language learning platform?"

"Dude, I've been using Memrise for a bit now and it's surprisingly effective. The flashcard system and gamification elements really help make vocabulary stick. I'm not at polyglot levels yet, but it's definitely helped me pick up some basic phrases for travel."
