"Hey guys, just scored a sweet deal on a 2017 Dacia Sandero for my buddy, but now I'm low-key worried about maintenance costs. The car's got 80k miles on it, and I've heard the newer Sanderos have had some issues with electrical gremlins and transmission problems. Has anyone out there had any experience with this age/model? What are the expected costs for maintenance?"

"Haha, nice one on scoring a sweet deal! Maintenance on the Sandero is pretty decent, just make sure your friend's not slacking on oil changes and tire rotations. Also, I've heard some Dacia models have had issues with the transmission, so keep an eye out for that"

"Lol nice one on the deal, but I gotta say, a 2017 Sandero ain't exactly known for its reliability. You might wanna budget for some unexpected repairs down the line, especially with the mileage they're likely on. Have you checked the maintenance history yet?"

"Lucky mate! I've had good experience with Daewoo's (same parent company) maintenance costs, but every car's got its quirks. You might wanna research some common issues with the Sandero and set aside a bit of cash for potential repairs just in case"

Lol, congrats on scoring a sweet deal, dude! Don't sweat it too much, maintenance on a 2017 Sandero should be relatively cheap, right? It's an older model, but not so old that parts will be super hard to come by.

Dacia's not bad on maintenance, but I recall some folks complaining about the Logan's transmission issues, which might be similar to the Sandero's. Have you considered getting a mechanic to take a look before the purchase? Also, how many miles is the 2017 Sandero got?

"Dacia's aren't the worst when it comes to maintenance, but I'd imagine 2017 is when the initial 'Dacia-ness' started wearing off. You're probably right to be worried, but I'd say factor in the savings from the initial purchase and see how it plays out."

"Dacia's ain't the worst cars, but yeah maintenance can be a pain on an older model. You should look into the costs of common repairs on that Sandero to see if it's a risk your friend is willing to take. Has your friend checked the history of the vehicle for any major issues?"

"Lol same, mate! Dacias can be tough on the wallet when it comes to repairs, but a 2017 Sandero's still pretty reliable. Have you checked the maintenance history and mileage before giving the car a clean bill of health?"

"Haha nice one on the Dacia deal! I've gotta ask, what was the sweet deal about? As for maintenance costs, I've heard the Sandero's pretty reliable, but always good to budget, especially with rising spare part prices"

"Dacia's got a rep for being pretty low-maintenance, but I think that's kinda their thing. Still, I'd say keep an eye on the mileage and do some regular checks to stay on top of things. My buddy's got a '14 Dacia and it's still going strong."
