Hey fellow truck enthusiasts, I've been thinking about the new Euro VI Emission Standard and how it affects the maintenance costs of my old Iveco Daily. I've heard rumors that the newer engines might be more expensive to fix and replace parts, but I'm not sure if that's true. Has anyone else had experience with the Euro VI Iveco Daily, or know someone who has?"

Honestly, I'm no expert on emission standards, but I recall that the Euro VI update primarily focused on reducing NOx emissions and improving fuel efficiency. According to my research, maintenance costs won't increase drastically, but you'll need to invest in newer filters and possibly a diesel particulate filter (DPF) upgrade. Has anyone else had experience with this?

"I've seen some posts about the Euro VI emissions standards affecting maintenance costs, but I don't think it's as bad as some folks make it out to be. From what I've researched, the biggest costs come from the DPF and SCR systems, but with proper upkeep, they shouldn't kill your wallet. Anyone have any real-world experience with this?"

"Hey all, just chimed in to say that my mate who's a mechanic mentioned the new Euro VI standard should see a reduction in maintenance costs down the line, especially when it comes to fuel efficiency and less frequent fuel filter replacements. Has anyone else heard anything on this? Not sure if it's a myth or fact"
