Title: Isuzu Diesel Dismal Fuel Efficiency: A Glitch or a Design Flaw?

"Hey guys, just got my hands on an Isuzu DMAX and I'm experiencing some major disappointment with the fuel efficiency. I've taken it for long road trips and highway drives, but the thing is guzzling diesel like crazy. I'm averaging around 7-8 L/100km, which is a huge letdown considering the price I paid for this thing."

"just saw my bro's Isuzu 4x4 with a tank-empty-after-100kms thing going on, think it might be a fuel pump issue or a dodgy injector. Any mechanics here got insight on possible causes? Or am I just paranoid about Isuzu's reliability?"

I had my Isuzu D-Max for 5 years now, and I can confidently say it's just a design flaw. The fuel efficiency doesn't get any better with time, and I've tried everything from tire pressure to driving styles. Guess it's just not worth it if you're pinching pennies for gas.

"Dude, I had a similar experience with my old Isuzu D-Max. Took it to a mechanic and it turned out the fuel injectors were clogged, not a design flaw. Maybe worth checking that before jumping to conclusions."

"Dude, I had the Isuzu NPR in my family for years and I can attest, fuel efficiency is subpar. It's definitely not a glitch, it's the way the engine is designed to prioritize power over efficiency. Either way, it's not a dealbreaker for me, but I can see why others might be concerned."

"Hey guys, I've got a friend with an Isuzu D-Max and he's been complaining about the same thing - terrible fuel efficiency. He's tried adjusting his driving habits, but it still guzzles gas like crazy. Anyone else had this issue or know what might be going on?"

"Had my Isuzu Rodeo for 5 years now, and I gotta say, the fuel efficiency isn't great, but it's not the worst either. I average around 10-12mpg combined, which isn't too shabby considering it's a heavy-duty truck. Maybe it's just my driving style, but seems like it's more of a normal thing for this model."

"Lol, I had an Isuzu Rodeo in the past and I can vouch for the mediocre fuel efficiency. It was more of a design flaw, IMO - the old transmission just couldn't handle the torque of the diesel engine. I was averaging around 15mpg on the highway."

"Yooo, what's up fellow members? Been having issues with my Isuzu D-Max lately, but I think it's just a calibration thing. Maybe it's just my unit, but I'm gonna keep an eye on the forum for updates on this"

"Dude, I had the 2015 Isuzu D-Max and it was a beast on the highway, but city driving was a different story. Fuel efficiency was subpar, but I think it's just how these diesel engines are designed for heavy hauling, not urban crawl. Guess we can't expect them to balance both worlds?"

Lol, I had the same car for a few years, and I agree with the OP, those Isuzu diesels can be real gas guzzlers. I got around 12-15 mpg city and 18-20 on the highway, which was pretty disappointing considering the size of the thing. Maybe it's just me, but I thought there was something off with the engine design.

"Dude, I've got a mate who's got an Isuzu D-Max and he swears by the reliability, but the fuel efficiency is a real letdown. I think it's more of a design flaw, especially considering the competition offers similar engines with way better MPG. Maybe it's time for Isuzu to up their game"

"Haha, what a weird thread title. I mean, I've heard of some pretty bad fuel efficiency from some gas-guzzlers, but Isuzu diesels? That's a surprise. Either way, sounds like someone's got a long road trip ahead of them..."

"Dude, I'm no mechanic, but I've heard those older Isuzu diesels have some issues with fuel injection nozzles. Maybe it's a combination of both - a design flaw that's made even worse by some glitch. Anyone know if they've got any recalls or updates for this problem?"

"Honestly, I've had my Isuzu 4x4 for a few years now and I've noticed the same issue - it guzzles fuel like crazy. I've tried adjusting the tire pressure and taking off the heavy accessories when not needed, but still, it's a real fuel hog. Anyone else have a fix or a similar experience?"

"Dude, I had an Isuzu NPR with a 4JJ1 diesel engine, and I've gotta say, the fuel efficiency wasn't exactly stellar. But I think it's more a design thing - the engine's built for hauling heavy loads, not for sipping fuel. Still, it's a beast of a truck when you need it to be."
