"Hey everyone. I'm planning to upgrade my mid-range rig and I'm torn between the Nvidia GTX 1660 Super and the AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT. Has anyone else had a chance to test out either of these cards for mining and gaming?"
I'd say the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 is a beast for both gaming and mining. It's got plenty of CUDA cores, which is a major plus for mining, and the power efficiency is decent for a mid-range card. However, I've heard the 3060 Ti is even better for mining, so maybe consider upgrading to that if you can afford it.
I've got a few rigs with RX 6700 XT and RTX 3060 - both have been solid performers for gaming. For mining, I've seen some decent performance on the 6700 XT with the latest Ethereum fork using the Ethash algorithm. The RTX 3060 is a bit of a mixed bag, though - it has some nice features for mining certain coins, but it's not the most efficient card overall.
"Yooo, I've gotta give it up for the Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060. I've been running it for months and it's killed it for both gaming and mining. Still getting decent hashrates on Eth with it, even after the recent dip."
