**Title:** Getting Started with Smart Contract Development: Free vs Paid Tutorials

Hey guys, I've been trying to dive into smart contract development and I'm torn between using free tutorials and paid courses. Anyone else out there have experience with this? Have any recommendations for resources, whether free or paid?

Yea, been there too! I'd recommend checking out solidity-by-example (it's free) and some YouTube tutorials by Truffle Team (they're free too). If you're willing to spend some cash, I've heard good stuff about the smart contract courses on Udemy.

"Dude, if you're new to smart contract dev, I'd say start with free tutorials like the ones on Solidity by ConsenSys. They're actually pretty comprehensive and will get you familiar with the basics. Paid courses are great for advanced topics, but you don't need to break the bank to learn the fundamentals."

" personally I'm a fan of the free tutorials on Chainlink's website - their step-by-step guides are solid and you can't beat the price. Also worth checking out are the free Solidity tutorials on OpenZeppelin, they've got a great intro to contract development. Has anyone else had any luck with those resources?"
