"Hey guys, I've got an old motherboard that's been collecting dust in my closet for years. I recently picked it up and was trying to get it up and running again, but I'm stuck with a BIOS password that I forgot. Has anyone successfully bypassed or reset a BIOS password on an old board without soldering or damaging any components?"

"Dude, I gotta warn you, bypassing a BIOS password ain't no easy feat and can potentially brick your board, so proceed with caution. If you still wanna do it, try the reset jumper trick or reseating the CMOS battery. Any luck, share your method with us!"

"Dude, I've been there too. If you're looking to bypass the BIOS password for an old motherboard, try removing the CMOS battery, holding the reset button, and then replugging it after a few minutes. It's been a lifesaver for me in the past."

"Dude, I'd be careful with this - bypassing BIOS passwords can be a real PITA to fix if you mess up. That being said, I've heard that some old ASUS boards still have a reset jumper that can clear the BIOS password. Anyone know if that's still a thing?"

"Not exactly the kind of revival I'd want for my old rig, but I guess it's a good resource for those who want to breathe new life into their ancient hardware. Has anyone managed to get their BIOS password reset using these methods, or are they still stuck at the login screen?"
