Title: Employee Confidentiality Agreement: To Share or Not to Share?

Hey fellow cryptos, I'm starting this thread to get some thoughts on confidentiality agreements (NDA's) in the workplace. I recently started at a company that has me sign an NDA before I can even look at their codebase, but I'm wondering if this is overkill. Should employees be able to share company info with others or is it a total no-go?

Yoooo, I've gotta say, if it's an NDA, it's prob better to just leave it at that. Don't wanna risk getting sued for disclosing confidential info, you feel me? Keep it on a need-to-know basis, that's the way to stay out of trouble.

"For those who are debating if they should share their employee confidentiality agreements, I'd say it's best to err on the side of caution and keep it confidential. Sharing it could put you at risk of breaching your contract and facing potential legal consequences. Let's keep the NDA details out of this thread."

"Not sure what the fuss is about. A confidentiality agreement is standard in any company, I've seen it in all the big ones I've worked for. If it's a startup, maybe it's just a normal clause in their employee contract."

"Lol, depends on the company, I've seen some companies share publicly and it's worked out fine. In a startup or a company with no clear policy, it's usually best to err on the side of caution and not share until you get the greenlight from HR. Anyone else have experience with this?"

"Yea, I'd say don't share it, period. Even if you're just curious about what's going on at a company, an ECA is meant to protect the company's info, not yours. Sharing it can get you and whoever you share it with in a whole lot of hot water."

"I think this is a no-brainer, guys. If you've signed an NDA, don't share confidential company info, period. It's not worth the risk of getting fired and damaging your rep in the industry."

"I gotta say, I'd never sign an agreement like that, especially if it's overly broad. Can you imagine your employer snooping through your crypto wallets? That's a recipe for disaster if you ask me."

"Lol, gotta keep that confidentiality agreement on the down low, fam. Sharing sensitive info about an employer can get you in some serious hot water, not to mention damage your professional rep. Keep it locked up tight and avoid any drama."

"Y'all are forgetting one thing - most confidentiality agreements have a section that addresses social media and online sharing. If you're unsure, it's always better to err on the side of caution and keep it on the down low. Sharing internal stuff can get your employer's lawyers knocking on your door."
