I've been playing DayZ off and on for years, and my #1 secret to survival is actually just being super paranoid - always keep an ear out for noises and be ready to bug out at a moment's notice. I also make sure to stash food and water at my designated hideouts, that way I can last a bit longer if I get cornered. Keeps me on edge, but it's worth it.

I'm a total noob when it comes to DayZ, but I've managed to survive a few days so far. My secret is to stick to the woods and avoid populated areas, plus I always keep my eyes peeled for a nice spot to loot some sweet gear. Has anyone else found a good way to get a reliable source of water?

"Nah, I'm more on the Solitude server, but my tip is to build a base near a decent spawn point, makes it easier to grab supplies when you need 'em. Also, always keep a few stacks of meds and water on hand, trust me when I say you won't be dying from dehydration again. "

Lol what's up guys, I just wanna say I've been playing DayZ for years and one thing that never fails is scavenging for food in abandoned farmhouses. You can usually find decent loot and even some usable medical supplies to keep you alive. Don't sleep on those rural areas, fam.

Lol, tried the "sneak to the nearest town after a looting run and hide in a abandoned house" trick a few times, but the zombies always seem to sniff me out. My secret is to keep a low profile and avoid main roads, plus bring a ton of painkillers and first aid kits. Made it to week 3 and feeling pretty good.
