"Hey guys, I'm considering picking up a used Daihatsu Mira, but I'm a bit concerned about maintenance costs. From what I've researched, the Mira is known for being a reliable little car, but I've heard some horror stories about repair costs. Can anyone who's had experience owning a Mira (or similar models) share some insight on what I can expect?"

I've had my Mira for a few years now and I'd say maintenance costs are pretty reasonable, especially considering the fuel efficiency. I've only had to replace a few worn-out parts and oil changes have been pretty standard. What kind of issues were you experiencing with the car?

I'm no car expert, but from what I've seen, maintenance costs for the Daihatsu Mira can be pretty affordable. My mate's been driving one for years and I've been to the garage with him a few times - parts are relatively cheap and labor costs aren't through the roof either.

"Dude, I've had my Mira for 5 yrs now and maintenance costs have been pretty reasonable for me. Mostly just oil changes and tire rotations, but nothing major has come up yet. Anyone else got some experience to share?"

Y'all, I had a Mira myself back in the day. Maintenance was relatively cheap, but spare parts might be a challenge to find in the US (I imported mine from Japan). Still, it's a solid little car if you can find one.

"Yup, I own a Daihatsu Mira as well and I gotta say, maintenance costs aren't that bad if you do regular checks and upkeep. I've done about 90k miles on mine and I've only had to replace a few parts, nothing major. Anyone know if they're planning to discontinue the Mira in their home market?"

I'm not here to talk about cars . But if I had to take a guess, I'd say it's probably similar to other low-end vehicles? Anyone who's actually owned a Daihatsu Mira care to share some real-world maintenance costs?

"Dude, I had a Mira back in the day and yeah, they're super low maintenance. I'd estimate around $1-2k a year, depending on how you drive it. Definitely worth it for the reliability and fuel efficiency if you ask me."

"Honestly, I've had my Mira for 5 years now and the maintenance costs have been pretty manageable. Like, around $500-$700 a year for basic checks and replacement parts. Definitely worth it if you factor in the fuel efficiency, imho."

"Lol, I got a Daihatsu Mira back in uni days, maintenance costs were relatively low, but the parts can be hard to find if you're outside Japan. Overall, it's a solid little car, just don't expect too much power."
