Hey guys, I wanted to bring up a topic that's been on my mind lately. I've been on some crypto-related dating apps and I've encountered a few suspicious characters - aka "Crypto Catfish". Anyone else have any experiences with people claiming to be crypto whales or devs, but maybe not being who they claim to be?

"Dude, I've seen this stuff go down before. Guys claiming to be successful crypto investors or devs, but really they're just catfish, trying to score a date or get access to funds. Don't be a victim, trust your instincts and do your own research"

"Lol, this is so real. I had a match on Binance's dating app last year and she claimed to have 'invested in Bitcoin at $0.10' - I knew it was a scam. Can we get more threads like this to warn potential victims?"

"Dude, I know some people out there that got scammed by 'crypto whales' on dating apps, trying to get them to invest in their new coin. One red flag is when they ask for your wallet address or private keys in a chat. Don't even think about it, just block them and report."

" Omg, don't even get me started on these crypto catfish . I went on a date with someone who claimed to be investing in a crypto fund and ended up being a total scammer, just trying to get my funds. Thanks for sharing your stories, it's good to know I'm not the only one dealing with this"

"Lol, this is a wild thread. Can't believe some peeps are trying to scam their online crushes with fake crypto accounts. We've all seen those 'guaranteed 10x moon' DMs, but this is on a whole other level."
