"Been there, done that. I once had to recover from a corrupted MySQL DB after a server crash, and lost a whole stash of BTC. Lost about 10k worth, back in the day when Bitcoin was still relatively low. Anyone else have a horror story to share?"

"Ugh, been there too. Had a MySQL crash on my personal node and lost a small stash of BTC. Luckily, I had some backups, but still had to wait a few hours for the DB to recover."

"Ugh, sorry to hear that, OP. Had a similar issue with my MySQL db a while back - thought I'd lost my entire BTC wallet, but managed to recover using a cold backup from a USB stick. Luckily it was a long time ago, or I'd have gone insane thinking about it"

"Ugh, I feel your pain bro. Had a catastrophic DB crash with my old Electrum wallet, lost a small stash of BTC in the process. Thankfully, I had a backup from a few days prior, so it wasn't a total wipe."

"Yikes, sorry to hear about the lost BTC, OP! Happened to me once when I was using an outdated MySQL client - corrupted DB, whole wallet gone in a flash. Thankfully I had some backups, but still had to redo the whole thing from scratch"

"Man, I've been there - lost a entire batch of wallets due to a corrupted MariaDB backup. Luckily, I had a snapshot of my DB from a week ago, but still had to redo all the wallet imports. Now I'm extra paranoid about backups"

"Bro, I feel you. I once had a MySQL DB crash on my old mining rig and I lost a whole bunch of wallets. Luckily I had some backups, but it was a real pain to recover everything"

"Dude, I feel your pain. Had this happen to me once with a MySQL DB and accidentally dropped 0.1 BTC (worth peanuts back then, but still a bummer). Was a total rookie mistake, thankfully had a backup, but still had to restore from a week-old snapshot"

Ugh, I had a similar experience. I was running a MySQL database on a shared server that got hacked, and it wiped out my entire Bitcoin wallet database (luckily, I had a backup, but it was still a close call). Still gives me the shivers thinking about it.

"Ouch, guys, I feel your pain. Had a similar issue with my old MySQL database, accidentally deleted the backup files and ended up paying a developer to recover the data (cost more than the lost BTC, ironically)."

"Ah, dude, I feel your pain. Had a similar issue once with my old laptop where I stored my wallet on an unsynced external drive, and it got wiped when I reformatted the thing. Thankfully, I had a backup from a few days prior and was able to recover my BTC."
